Let us introduce ourselves:
The University of Luxembourg’s student theater group edudrame - composed of education and drama [fr.: drame] - is a group that seeks to follow a concept that allows students to create within a multicultural, aesthetic, young and fresh atmosphere. Directed by Marlene Schick-Witte, Conrad Doberauer and Mïla Mulas, the project has represented Luxembourg as national winner at the Youth Charlemagne Prize 2011 in Aachen. The entirely self-organized student group, founded in 2010, usually tries to stage content that is their own and original creation. (click here to take a look at past edudrame shows)
It is inspired by postmodern European theatre and the facilitators try to enhance cultural as well as language exchange within an international group.
As much as times allows, some activities and gatherings are organized outside the theatre walls, so the group can socialize. Also the group participates in the international student theatre festival GrAFiTi in Saarbrücken (Germany) since 2011.
Through the cooperation with the Théâtre d’Esch the participants have the possibility to try out their own creativity and experience theatre in a professional setting. Participation is free of charge. Rehearsals are multilingual, usually held in English, French and German. It is mostly sufficient, if prospective participants speak at least one of the above at a rather good level.
Interested students are always welcome to seek contact via the facebook page, email us via edudrame@gmail.com , to simply drop by and take a at our rehearsals or even attend a casting for the next production.
We are looking forward to get to know you! -Marlene, Conrad, Mila
